How did we get here?

MTC (previously Stockport Tattoo Convention) was born in 2021. As a Studio we had attended many conventions around the UK and whilst the vast majority are awesome we felt that some of them lacked any personal touch between event organiser and artist/trader/music act.

After attending a particular Convention we left feeling a bit frustrated, the people in the clique were getting the accolades, if you weren't in that clique you didn't even get a "hello" from the organisers.

So on the way home whilst putting the world to rites we jokingly suggested we should hold a small Convention ourselves, the next day Mike (co-organiser) had already made a plan, scouted a venue and made a logo.

As soon as the first event came round we knew we had hit on something, smaller venue, smaller amount of artists, local traders and music acts equals that "personal" experience we wanted.

 From there we didn't look back, our mission is to make these events as accessible for as many people from ALL walks of life.

Accessibility hours, permanently low ticket prices and the promise that both Christian and Mike will always be on hand to spend time and chat with as many people as they can from the run up to the event itself.

After all, like you, we absolutely love this industry and want to share it with as many people as possible.
